parampara...

Parampara is a Sanskrit term that denotes the passing down of knowledge from guru to disciple. In popular parlance parampara means holding to traditions and the old ways. For Western bPeople of Indiausiness people coming to India parampara is regarded an obstacle to change and innovation. From the Hindu perspective it means: this is the way we have always done it, and it works just fine - why change? Let's keep to the traditional way.

Chalta hai means patience, having a calm attitude and inner peace:  'don't worry - it will happen - eventually.'

Parampara is formally known as guru-shishya parampar, a Sanskrit term that means an unbroken tradition of passing down knowledge from guru to disciple (shishya). The first thing a shishya must learn is 'chalta hai' - patience.
