Cuarteto was born in the poor working class districts of Argentina's second city, Córdoba, in the 1940s. It began as the music of people that Eva Perón described as descamisados - the 'shirtless poor', and is now a thriving part of the Argentine cultural scene, like yerba, (see Paraguay), tango, cabezazo, milonga, and psychoanalysis. nos vemos - 'see you', 'catch you later'
