…is an international forum for untranslatable words and phrases from around the world.
Multicultual Conversation

Lagom [lar-gom] is a Swedish word – it means ‘not too much, not too little; just right…’

Sisu [see-soo] is from Finland – it is difficult to translate, but roughly means: ‘determination - never give up, never back down.’

Mañana [man-yar-na] is Spanish, and can mean many things: ‘maybe tomorrow, maybe later, take it easy…’
